Somewhat doubt it from the stories I've heard behind the product. It seems that MTF designed the liner and sent some to CJ's...who sent one to TMI to be produced for CJ (maybe exclusively). At least that is the scuttlebutt I've read. I will say that I saw the one piece liner announced and pictured on MTF before the other place(s).

Oh, that would be very bad if true... Did MTF patent their one-piece headliner?

The one piece is tempting, but I cannot justify spending over $300 more for a headliner. Plus, I already have the front and back glass out anyway, so no benefit there.

My understanding is 'No'...which is where it gets sticky.

There is the benefit of extra headroom (2-1/2" over standard), and a built in console if you go that route.

Totally understand, but still hard to justify for me...

My stock headliner seems to be rammed against the roof, or the bows are at least. So I could see 1" maybe..

That's where the 2 1/2" came from. Seems like a lot! Also that would assume one piece is near zero.

New cars have had one piece headliners for many years. What would MTF patent?
IMO it's common practice. Like patenting a hat.

ahh scuttlebutt is a word I haven't heard since my Navy days, but as most scuttlebutt it's false info.

TMI is producing the 1 piece headliner on their own and brought it out to us when they came to feature some of their new products in some of the videos we did in the past.
