so you believe he only uses more modern lobes than the XE's?

did you read the two posts and give it more than 5 seconds of thought?

Yes, I read all the posts and spent more then 5 seconds thinking about. I then reread the posts to see if I missed anything. He said it was an okay lobe but not one he would use on the intake side for most builds. What is wrong with that? Not quite sure why you are beating this dead horse. If you know more about camshafts then Ed Curtis then go start your own camshaft company. If you have beef with Ed I don't really care. Take it up with him.

Sorry, his first post was telling the op, he believes he has a poor choice of cam lobe and there are better. I’m trying to understand how he can make that statement given no information about the application was provided.

It’s like if someone said they were running a KB hypereutectic piston (without any other info) and then someone else were to say it’s a bad piston and there are much better available. How can a person say something like that without knowing the application? That’s basically what I’m trying to understand.

Not sure why you feel I’m beating a dead horse. I’m trying to understand someone’s thought process. So, excuse my interest in trying to understand things. Telling me to take it up with him is funny given I had originally quoted the response from Ed Curtis. You chose to interject and answer for him. So if anything it could be implied you know more about camshafts than Ed Curtis and should start your own company, not me.

If you don’t have the ability to explain the theory behind your statement, then you probably shouldn’t make the statement.

Forgive me all.. I thought this was a dead thread. For those curious.. I haven't done anything yet. It's been a late spring here in Ohio. I am going to try and find a reputable muffler shop and see how much new mufflers will cost.
