Default My '66 - Tornado damage

We had a tornado go thru Sun 2/10/13 and it put several dings, dents and scratches on my '66. Even the brand new windshield is scratched. I've only own it 2 months. It's mostly cosmetic but man it P's me off!

Damn twisters! At least it's been two months and the damage is minor. My luck is usually something like just finishing a paint job and on its first drive having a rock thrown up and planted in the middle of the hood.

Any chance of insurance covering the costs for a fix?

+1 to that. Glad you are safe. We got hit hard by winter storm Nemo last weekend. Heavy wet snow and 70mph winds. Two 100 foot pine trees fell across the front of my house, one branch pierced the roof leaving a 6 inch hole. Not much other damage besides a crushed porch railing, mangled gutter, and some torn off shingles. I am hugging my family a little tighter each morning ever since. No telling what could have happened if those suckers landed square on the house.

Sorry to be glib...are you counting your blessings? Probably homes were wiped out flat to the ground...your Stang got a couple scratches!

This and hail are my biggest fears here in tornado alley. My stang stays in the stable (garage) in all bad weather. Glad you, your family and your stang survived, even if damaged.

I bought my '66 right before christmas, it had fresh paint and lots of new parts. Just a month ago I got full coverage thru Hagerty's Ins on it. Sounds like they are going to take care of it, new paint job, windshield, rear glass and lots of new chrome. The adjuster came Fri, I should hear something soon.

Thanks! I really appreciate that. My '66 will be on the road again soon.
