Default Not my Auction, but Someone is going to get a good deal

This is NOT my auction, and I have NOTHING to do with the seller.

A complete 1965 Mustang 289 with transmission, shifter, etc. for $100, but it is local pick up only

Yep. He's asking $100. The pulleys and brackets would nearly cover that.

And no bidders. Engines are a tough sell. I told a friend I would help her sell her 67 Chevy 327, but not to hold her breath.

I see a lot of leaves around the motor, and sitting outside with rain pouring in that carb leave a lot of scrap metal. Other than the pulleys and timing cover the rest may cost a lot to bring back.

Last summer I pulled a 289/C4 out of a parts car. It had been parked so long, in the damp outdoors, that the pulleys were rotten. I pulled the plugs, squirted in some light oil, and connected a battery box. It turned over fast and smooth.

Not to pull the rug out from people's good feeling of charity.
Many good running cars are donated because the person can't give
it away!

I had a low rust 76 Granada Sport Coupe (sport option). 302 power steering (worked perfect...no "Mustang" play.) Power disc brakes...perfect working. Strong running non smoking engine 600 miles/qt.oil. Glass all original and excellent. Split drivers bucket had been reupholsted recently by trim shop. Had been my parents car, bought new. 105,000 miles recent Firestone narrow whites on the original Magnum wheels with the stainless no curb rash trim rings.

Couldn't give it away. Tried for over a year. Car was too nice to part out so we donated it.

Yeah, my first fastback was like that,it sat for ten years. But sitting out in the rain with no air cleaner is a bit different.

Let's hope that one was uncovered for the photos.

If I were going to sell a SB chevy 327, I would go to your local circle track or local trade paper and go to the racing section, because most racers would give their eye teeth for a 327 motor because of its racing heritage and capabilities.....Just my thoughts.
