Default Which Wheels? Help me choose!

I am in need of new tires and thought since I need new tires, might as well spring for some different wheels. Having trouble deciding. I currently have 14x6" AR TT D wheels and want to upgrade to a 17x7". I found some pics of the wheels on Mustangs and some are probably members here on VMF....sorry not trying to steal pics of your car, just trying to find good pics of these wheels on Mustangs.

Let me know what you think?

#1 - MB Old School

Another link, blue Mustang 1/4 of the way down. MB Motoring Old School

#2 - American Racing Classic Torq Thrust II, Grey

#3 - Coys C5 Gun Metal Grey

with the color of your car being what it is and with your black dash panel, i think a darker wheel would look best. therefore, i am eliminating the ARCT Grey wheel - i think its too light in color and would get lost. looking at the other wheels, i would choose the Old School wheel. they are all good looking wheels and look great on older mustangs, but i think a darker colored wheel on your car would look perfect and would get noticed.

my vote is for the Old School wheel.

please post a good side view of your car that shows it true color.

Old school doesn't come in 17x7, coy's c-5 don't look that great, the american racings are nice but probably twice the price of the other wheels. Have you looked at rev wheels licensed by american racing on ebay?

number 2.
I went with those, and am very happy with them. This picture doesn't have the center caps on yet, but you get the idea.

I don't see a thing wrong with what you have on the car now. That is one of the best looks for that car. It's classic, you might step up a size on the rear tires.

Basically I am staying with that same style wheel, just considering going up in size because I need new tires anyway.

OH! looking at your signature, i thought your car was a medium silver! i didnt realize your car was white. too dark a wheel wont look right then. IMO, whatever wheel you choose, go with a medium shade of gray.

Wheels are like the dress on a woman. It should show her off and grab some attention without becoming tacky. Wheel #2 is too muted...I say go with #3 or #1.

two wheels you could consider that arent on your list is the vintage 45 and the boss 338. the boss 338's are super cheap nowadays and come in gray, chrome, and black. i voted for number 2, but would seriously consider the v45's if that car were mine.

i do not like option 1 bc the spoke design is identical to the 5 spoke lowrider wheel commonly seen on regals and old cutlasses with whitewalls

the coy wheels have an overly exaggerated D-spoke with a gloss finish that just doesnt look right to me. it also has a 1 step lip design, versus option 2 (tt) that has a 2 step lip design.

if you are going for the vintage look, you should opt for a 17 inch wheel with a natural spoke finish with a 2 step lip.

just my 3 cents

I think the #1 wheels look like a vampire owns the car, and the #3 wheels in my opinion look like they should be on any mustang 1990 and newer.
The #2's still hold a vintage look with 17's without looking pimped.
