Default my 69 coupe dies randomly -HELP

Hell all, I'm a new member. I live in Az and I drive a 69coupe/302 auto. When driving in the cooler months my car runs fine. Although in the hotter months (summer) drving on the freeway is fine, driving thru traffic in Tucson, it will die from stop light stop light. It does start right back up. I think the fuel is evaporating? I have put a spacer under Edlbrook carb, wrapped fuel line with 1200* cloth , and added an elect. fuel pump. Car still dies. Does anyone have any ideas or solutions? Please dont tell me to go get clothes pins.
Thanks , hot and bothered in Az.

Make sure the engine ground is good and solid.

Thanks for the reply. Must have stumped the mustang community ? Why would the ground be a problem I'm not a mechanic? I read some other threads and sounded like others were leaning towards the coil? any ideas? Its very annoying trying to drive thru town. Again , thank you for your respponse , I will check today when I get home from school.

How are your engine temps? Sounds like you have an overheating problem. Don't always trust your gauge either. My 67' had a bad sending unit and it looked like the temps were fine..until the radiator exploded while I was parked at the gas station.
