Default Electrical Diagram help....wiper motor

Can someone tell me what the wire #28 and #63 do on the below wiring diagrams (ones that go into the wiper motor)? I have everything else figured out. The first diagram is for a 69 cougar and the second is for a 79 F150. None of the mustang diagrams I could find actually had the internal stuff shown for the wiper motor....just four wires going to the motor.

From the first diagram, it appears when #28 and #58 of the wiper switch contacts close (as well as #763 and #63, the wiper motor "parks". So if there is 12v to #63, it keeps the switch open inside the wiper motor so that it doesn't run. Is this like reversing polarity so the motor turns the opposite way and holds itself in "park"? Then, when the power is switched away from 63, the switch inside the motor opens to the run position and power is pushed to the high or low speed legs of the motor (#56 or #58)?

Here's my take...
#63 is HOT all the time to the wiper motor (when the key is ON/ACCY of course)

When the wiper switch is turned to LO, #58 is grounded, which turns the wiper motor on and moves the contact switch in the motor to the RUN position and the park position, alternately (driven by a cam or lever, I think).

When the wiper switch is turned to HI, #56 is also grounded, which energizes a second winding in the motor which makes it run faster.

When the wiper switch is turned to INTERMITTENT, #28 is grounded through a variable resistor in the switch which runs the timer and #58 (low speed winding) is grounded by the wiper controller according to the timer schedule.

When the wiper switch is turned to OFF. the "P" position, the motor continues to run until it reaches the park position and contact is lost between circuit #63 and #28 which causes the motor to stop.
