I was taking apart and older clutch that has brushes to activate it, with the ring on the back of the clutch hub that the brushes contact. I broke the clutch coil itself, I ended up breaking the post off that the 12v passes through to energize the coil. Does anyone know of a source for the coil itself or am I better off using this as a core and buying a rebuilt one?
Reviving an old thread.
I'm having the AC on a 67 Vert worked on.
Tech says the AC clutch coil is bad in the factory AC compressor.
He says only replacement he can find is 1 with a single wire that goes to a magnet compared to the original type that has a brush setup.
Guess the new style has clearance issues.
Just ordered correct factory one from CAA.
