So I am trying to set the timing for my 65 coupe with a 302 and there is no pointer. There is a screw hole on the timing cover where it is supposed to be. Where can I order one and is that where it goes? Or is there a bracket that I am supposed to have?
Bolts on with 2 bolts. Just the pointer itself which is sheet metal. You have a later timing cover as the 65 has a cast on pointer. I'm not sure if the 65 balancer will work with the later marks either that or they make a specific point for early cars. Just double check.

Do you have the drivers side water pump outlet 1970+ or the older passenger side water pump outlet 1965-1969. The pointer I linked you is for the passenger side outlet water pump.
If it has the F150 timing cover and balancer, yes.
