Hello all,

I've got a 68 coupe that has wipers and a foot operated pedal, but no wiper fluid reservoir/lines. I'd like to fix that!

It seems to me that I need the following:

Reservoir:

Windshield Washer Hose Kit:
https://www.npdlink.com/store/produ...shield_washer_includes_ribbed-186701-456.html

Washer Hose Firewall Grommet:
https://www.npdlink.com/store/products/mustang_grommet_wiper_washer_hose_at_firewall-175775-456.html

These fasteners to secure the reservoir:

These clips:
https://www.npdlink.com/store/products/mustang_hose_clips_windshield_washer-167632-456.html

And these nozzles:
https://www.npdlink.com/store/products/mustang_windshield_washer_nozzles-180293-456.html

Is that it? What else might I be missing? am I missing any fasteners/attachment pieces?

Lastly, I cant seem to find a diagram anywhere of how it should all be secured and routed? I'm assuming the nozzles somehow are inside the cowl? Please excuse my "green"-ness.

The '68 Factory Assembly Manual, Electrical will show you all you need to know.

Yep, that is the one you want. Osborn reprints.

If you plan on working on your car much the Body, Electrical and Chassis FAMs are excellent references. Weld and Sealant is ok if major surgery is required/planned. Unfortunately there is no Engine one for '68,

The pump/switch assembly is an Achilles heel on the 67/68. Not rebuildable and
expensive NOS.

Those are 65/66 hoses. You want 67/68 hoses:
https://www.npdlink.com/store/produ...hield_washer_concours_correct-169828-456.html
or
Cheaper ones:
https://www.npdlink.com/store/produ...shield_washer_includes_ribbed-186702-456.html

The 68 Electrical Assembly Manual (Osborne) will indeed have the diagram you need (pgs E8-8130-1, -2)

I did not see anywhere in the assembly manual the use of the clips in the washer system that you call out:
https://www.npdlink.com/store/products/mustang_hose_clips_windshield_washer-167632-456.html

I think they are used on 65/66

Not rebuildable ...

Really? I've taken apart, fixed and restored at least a half dozen. If the ball check is broken, or the rubber boot cracked, you do need a donor.

But they are not very hard to completely disassemble, clean, test, refinish and put back in... easy weekend job.

Pardon me........ didn't even know that Made in China bellows was available. The unit was never
intended on being rebuilt, just replaced as a whole. Good to see that bellows is at least available.
