Does anyone sell a repro "all steel" shaker assembly/kit including the air cleaner for a 1970 Mach 1 351 Cleveland? I've seen the fiberglass version and a steel air cleaner for other engines but wonder if I've missed the above.
Negatory, Good Buddy. If you want an authentic-looking shaker, you'll have to buy a factory original. An entire shaker assembly typically sells for several thousand dollars. You might be able to find something less expensive, but it's a pretty popular item.
Maybe you could modify the reproduction 428 shaker base for a 351C? Not sure how different they are, but shoot, even that thing is $1,000 just for the base alone.
The 1970 351 cleveland shaker base, midplate, and scoop are now being reproduced in metal by Scott Drake (I believe it is them anyway). The base is very correct in appearance. It's not a widely available item but I've seen them on eBay.
Are you sure about this? Every Scott Drake example I've seen, on eBay and elsewhere, is fiberglass. I'd be happy to stand corrected, but I'd have to see some kind of online example somewhere.
