It's done.. was back & forth about doing it for 3 yrs. PO had replaced it w/Black.. Given.. I actually refreshed it black when I bought it. But it's a 3W car and every Grabber Color I see w/ the white.. I said I had to make mine look like it.. Only Purchase's were the new seat covers, foam, sail panels & paint.. I restored everything else myself.. Including installing the seat covers. 1st time.. Hopefully last. Came out fine.. Sure a professional would have done better.. Regardless, so far nothing but positive comments from the guys I cruise with and the folks that view it. Needed to get it done before the South Florida heat becomes unbearable to work in. It's covered now back in the garage hoping for a cool morning or evening.
All comments welcome..
Enjoy the PIC's
Thx for the positive comments. Grabber.. I used TMI Vinyl and padding. Purchased thru NPD. They're upstate Fl from me.. usually receive all my orders next day.. You're car looks familiar..;`)
See your from LI. I'm a NYer. Wifes Family live out on the Island.
Live in Centereach, I've had the car for 27 years.
Was thinking of replace my covers, there around 30 years old.
Are they the stock replacement TMI's, I was thinking of getting the first level sport. I think I could use new foam, I think its the original.
I have a crack in the drivers seat, it's not to bad, hardly noticeable but I know it's there
It looks like you did a fine job with the new upholstery. The black and white tuxedo scheme adds a bit of class and I'm sure it is much cooler when cruising around in the summer. A great compliment to the Grabber Blue exterior.
It's funny when I found my car I wanted a black interior and was disappointed it was white. Well after looking and seeing the black I was kinda glad I had the white. The door panels with the wood-grain and black carpet just pop instead of the black every thing just blends together
