I received the email below today!

Hello Mr. Exline,

My name is Name withheld and am a long time subscriber to Mustang Monthly. I was amazed to see the artical on the Mustang Jr. in the April issue. When I turned to page 84 I could not believe my eyes, the little girl with the dark hair in the drivers seat is my cousin Karen Monahan. My late grandmother Agatha Marikle was George Fords house keeper for more years than I remember and was instrumental in getting Karen into those photos. I remember as a child seeing copies of the original prints of her in the red thunderbird as well as the white mustang convertible. It's ironic that the price of those Powerhouse cars were $495.00 new and in 1977 at the age of 19 I purchased a 65 fastback for $175.00 and is still an on going restoration. Do you know if there is any way to purchase any surviving sales literature from the PowerCar's heydays?

I of course sent him a high resolution scan of my original picture and asked if the family had any other Powercar related pictures

This little number just showed up on Ebay! "Not mine"

It is a 1967 original gas powered Mustang JR.
Ebay sale

It has some modifications but is very restorable. I do not make the 1967 bodies so if you want one here is your chance!

The one on ebay now is being sold due to the child being too tall for it. The child is 5'3", BTW.

the one on ebay now

This is one of them that was recently made by the guy in New York using a modified late model go kart chassis. It does not have the pedals clear out by the grille that the originals had

I bought one of those from Angelo. They are very nice, but are smaller than the original. I am not sure about that 5'3" kid being too big. My neighbors kid drove mine at a recent show, and he is about 5'5". Tight, yes, too small, no.

Mine is being shipped out tomorrow from Oklahoma. I'm hoping it gets here before I head up to Phoenix for the National show. I can just see my staff riding it around the parking lot while I'm gone.
