I had a nice little photo op yesterday so I thought I would share. I had a couple of the bodies together fresh from the mold and set them up in the driveway for some pictures.

One of the bodies has already been picked up and is at it's new home in Illinois and the other will be taking a ride to Georgia in the cargo hold of a Greyhound bus early next week.

the bright sunlight made it hard to shoot the photos and as you can see my two big trees are dropping thier seeds.

Default Mustang Go Karts

Here are a couple of photos I ran across that feature Mustang Juniors on restricted tracks as Carnival rides. These were made by Pretzel amusements with Powercar bodies etc.

Little bit larger image of the two cars is located here

stangrestorer just sent me an email with a link to this Craigslist Ad for a '66 Fastback go kart body. It may not be "historic" but it's cool as hell! I attached the pics to this post because I'm sure the ad will end before this thread does.

Default Mustang Go Karts

How loud are the gas powered Jr's? I'm looking at an original electric and one of the arguments
the owner is tossing at me is that the gas powered ones are very loud.

Also, just found another '67 electric one, but this one is just a few miles from me so I'll pop over this week and look at it.

Same as any B&S 3HP engine. Of course the sound can be mopdified same as their big brother depending on the exhaust.

A family friend buys and restores the Mustang Jrs. I have gotten to ride a number of them and they are a blast, and not very loud at all. The thing I don't like much about the electric ones are that they are slow.

They currently have a 66 that is being restored. I'm pretty sure it is gas powered. They can also build you a brand new one with electric start and everything, they are awesome. They look just like the old ones, but new engine and new body.

Good Luck, they are a ton of fun but expensive.

Here is a video with sound of my original 67 gas powered with Speedbump behind the wheel
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_u-IMiX6PEY
The engine has one of the spark arrestor mufflers on it and nothing more. If you want it to be lower volume than that just put a muffler on it. Original electrics can be slow 5MPH top speed and it's full bore or nothing since the switch just makes and breaks contact. Some people are using modern scooter and wheelchair drive componants on my reproduction bodies to give variable speed and much higher speeds.

Of course I never found the originals noise to be a problem other than when speedbump earned his nickname. At CF1 he took the car airborne when he did not see a speedbump in the shadows and could not hear me scream from a distance. The car landed with no damage other than his nerves.

Default Mustang Go Karts

Thanks Roadkill, that isn't noisey at all. One of the two I am looking at has been upgraded to 12V from 6v. I'll see how fast or slow it is in person sometimes this week. I still kinda want the gas powered one.

Check the upgrade and make sure the motor is a 12V motor not a 6V with a 12V battery stuck in. Just sticking in a 12V into an original 6V will end out killing the motor. It needs to be modified with differnt windings for longevity.

Make sure to take pictures and share them here!

This guy has lots of Juniors and lots of videos and you can get an idea about the speed of the electric versions.

I think the upgraded Red adult electric I will be seeing this week used to belong to the guy in this video. I'm unsure if he upgraded it or the guy that bought it from him.

His daughter is going to have one sweet ride!

I think I'll pass on the pink. I'm going to go with the dark blue and white GT stripes like it has now.
