I am a certified IPC trainer and can train and also recertify inspectors in the following:
– Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies (Provides a standard of rules for the manufacturing of PCB assemblies)
– Acceptability and Requirements for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies (Provides a standard of rules for the manufacture of wiring and cable assemblies).
Certifications are globally recognized and are good for two years. In the world of contract manufacturing, IPC standards are the main guidelines for manufacturing quality. Reference www.ipc.org
for more information.
IPC training can be either one-on-one or in a classroom and I can also travel to your facility, but prefer to keep it within MA / CT / RI / NH / ME / VT area. I am flexible and am willing to negotiate.
I can provide inspection/audit services for your facility and/or products in addition to training inspectors. Additionally, I can also help you work with your contract manufacturers to ensure that a reliable and quality product is being supplied (I’m not going to travel to Asia though, sorry).
I have a strong involvement will all aspects of the RoHS initiative. I specialize in PCBs, electronic assemblies and wire harness / cabling. I can evaluate and provide testing methods and have access to numerous resources and can provide assistance, answer questions and can give references / referrals.
(Given the poor quality of cables that I nave seen produced over the years, I’ve been messing with the idea of establishing my own company to manufacture cables, cable harnesses, etc.. Design services are available.)
Credentials: BSEE with 13+ years in the manufacturing world, current position is Sr. Manufacturing Systems (robotic) Engineer for a large biotech company.
For the other, I have a small handyman / construction business on the side and can do just about anything from small and minor (screen replacements, replace door knobs, etc..) to major projects (kitchen guts, bathrooms, basements, decks, porches, etc..) I can handle most electrical and plumbing jobs and will never start something that I can’t finish. Knock down a wall or replace a window curtain, I have the tools and capability to do all of it. Anything in your house you want to do, rough and finish work.
For the mechanicals, I have tools to perform most major and minor auto repairs. Additionally, I recently added a large portable generator to my arsenal which now allows me to be mobile with my 175 MIG welder and also with my shop air compressor for possible small scale off-site sandblasting projects or ??
For this, I am not desperate for work and am not looking for a big project right now (just finished a 3/4 season-room), but small day-to-day, hour-to-hour projects would be best. I’m honestly not looking to be a painter, but if you want assistance in remodel project and need someone to help you plan it, or just show you what to do and/or assist when needed (rip up floors, layout tile, install hardwoods, etc..), or even replace a dishwasher or run a water line to your new fridge…there isn’t much that I can’t or haven’t done. The big caveat is that I am located in the southeastern Mass, northern RI area and prefer to stay close to home with this.
