Put the test springs in two valves. Threw in two lifters, went to put my homemade pushrod length checker an somehow I made it an inch too short. I won't be able to touch it until we get back from vacation.

Well made some progress on the motor. Checked piston to valve clearance. Valve train is installed and adjusted. Front cover, water pump, oil pan and balancer slid in. Ordered 2x3 steel to make a datum that I can pull/push off of.

Picked up the steel to make a jig with. I've got some yard work to do this weekend but hopefully I can get out there and get started on getting this thing straight.

Sometimes things just come along at the right time. Paid for this tonight I'm pretty sure I got a great price on it. Hopefully it's in the condition he claims.

Worked on mounting the gauges. Man I think this is my favorite part of the build so far. They turned out fantastic. I pulled the trim rings off the tach and Speedo so they fit better, then epoxied the lens and internal trim ring on. Talk about stress, taking a new, rather expensive gauge and cutting on it .... I told the wife I'm gonna mount it on the living room wall until I'm ready to install. 🤣😂

The mailman bringing me stuff, waiting on the ups lady (the wife calls her my gf) to drop off my arp bolts to mount the trans to the motor. I have an engine cradle coming on Monday to make that possible. I'm gonna have more money in arp hardware than I paid for the car originally. 🤣😂

Some buddies came by we worked on building some ramps for the trailer and worked fitting the clutch arm to the t56, it's gonna require some massaging to fit. We also fit the full floor pan in just for something to do.
