And tonight I'm staying up late getting the glass ready to put back in with new gaskets and tubes of the 3M 08509 Bedding & Glazing Compound.

I finished installing the front and rear glass about 4:30 this morning. Proof positive a fellow can remove the glass, install a headliner, and reinstall the glass by himself. It is quite a job. I hope I don't have to do it again anytime soon! My son helped me clean up the glass and was basically falling asleep whenever I was fitting the gaskets on it . He will be thrilled when he wakes up and sees it.

Today I installed the 40 something windshield and rear window molding clips, hope to get the windshield molding on soon. Picked up the heater box reseal kit from National Parts Depot while I was in Charlotte and plan to get that back together this week.

I restored a set of five 66 styled steel wheels for my car, and some new tires for the first time since about 2009
...
and got the young'un to sand and paint his wheels to prepare it for new tires. We're gonna stick with the original wheels and hubcaps, which are in great shape.

Put new shoes on the Emberglo pony today. Uniroyal Tiger Paw AWP 2 in a 205 / 70 / 14 filled the wheelwells nicely. Now back to restoring the heater box and reinstalling it, and back to work on the interior.

Rebuilt the heater box, got a new defroster plenum, ducts and hoses. Hafta start my work week tomorrow night and will hope to soon get the underdash surface rust treated and painted, and the cowl treated for prevention of any future rust, then reinstall the heat and defrost parts. Next step is disassembling, cleaning, prepping and painting the dash, column, door panels and interior quarters and reassembling them.

My son wants to go with the Emberglo / Parchment Interior Décor Group, and I can't blame him. It's GoRgEoUs ! It's also e-x-p-e-n-s-i-v-e ! So we will probably do that in stages, beginning with the woodgrain for the dash since we'll have that apart. I think the Dealer air unit under the dash with argent face will look better with the woodgrain on the dash and console than the camera case black would. We can do upholstery then door panels with courtesy lights cut in as we can afford them, and a woodgrain wheel to top it off. I hope to at least have it as a comfortable driver by July 16th. He turns 15, and it will be time to learn to drive in it. --sniffle--
