Since Paul decided to chime in with his good news, I figured I
would too.

Larry over at SLS tells me the final body work on my car has finally
begun. They are going to fill in all the new dings, and get all the
headlight and tail extensions to line up, then some more primer, sanding,
and... *gasp* P A I N T ! ! ! !

Say it ain't so! No more chamios colored primer at the cruise nights!

:: :: ::

The plan is to then re-install all the weather stripping, and finally
get the top installed too.

Maybe I can actually drive it to work when there is a chance of rain now.

Nah. ::

Zim - can't wait to see your car painted. It will be like having a new car in the group. You must be getting excited.

Are you sticking with the blue color that you talked about?

Good news indeed! There's nothing like fresh paint to feel like progress is being made. A word of caution, though, don't delude yourself that it may be done soon. They're never done! ::

Jason,

Car will look great that color :: How long before you get it back and are you getting the progress pics as they go? Also are you going to be there when they acually start shooting the paint on the car? I know I would be there as much as possible when this is happening its like watching the car come to life when it gets that new paint job. ::

Actually, I just added some pics! Click the link to the
car in my signatire, and go to the last 2 sections.

Yes, he has invited me to come watch when they shoot the paint.

It will probably be monday or tuesday evening.

Zim,
I can't wait to see your car! Mostly because I want to paint mine Guardsman Blue also. SWMBO wants it Caspian Blue, but maybe seeing yours will help convince her... ::

Zim,
Your car is going to look really great. I can't wait to see it painted. I would imagine we'll see it finished with the chrome back on at our August picnic (if not earlier). It's nice that you'll have a couple months left this season with the car painted before putting it away for the winter. Good luck with the paint job.
