Howdy all.

Well - I had my doubts as there was not a lot of chatter online about
people coming. But we had 10 or 11 people in Darrell's garage at one

People brought chips, a crock pot of chili, and we had fun trying to
figure out how to get the old leaf springs off the 64.5 coupe.

We also changed the doors and hood, and generally hung out and talked

I took a few pics, but I won't have a chance to post them until I return
from a business trip later this week.

Thanks to everyone who came out! And for those of you who missed it, it was
another great indoor winter meeting.

Thanks to Darrell for hosting!

Man, those front leaf spring bolts are a bitch. But it was still fun getting dirty and working on a car in December. Now I am convinced that I need to add heat to our garage before next winter.

Maybe if we had a longer blade we could have come down on the bolts? Wish I could have stayed longer but the wife had plans. Maybe next time. Had fun.

Thanks Everyone for the help! I got more accomplished on that car in one day than I have in the last 2 months. A helping hand (or several hands)and some motivation work wonders. If we have some open months in the future where no one else is stepping up to host, I will be more than happy to do it again. We could all learn how to reupholster the seats, reassemble the interior after I get it back from paint, or as most of you know any one of a 1,000 other projects in my garage waiting to get done.

I did not catch a few names of some guys who showed. There was one guy who I did not even see come in and he was immediatly under the car hacking on those [email protected]$%^$# front bolts. Thanks again to all who showed and all who wanted to show.
