I'm a definite "I don't know". It looks like I have nothing going on that day, but the Mustang is giving me trouble (again). I'm thinking of putting it in mothballs until some time after Christmas, :chainsaw:. I've got so many things to fix on it and I don't feel like doing any of them right now. And if one more thing goes wrong with it, it might get wrench or two thrown at it! :pissed:

Serenity now!

So we'll have to play it by ear guys. maybe I'll see you, and maybe I won't.

Mike,

Ya know... nobody ever said you were *required* to bring your car.

Quite frankly, after the corn feed, I don't really want to see it anyways.

just kidding of course...

Weather looks real bad for today's picnic. It is supposed to begin raining
in the next hour or two, and continue through the evening.

It is already raining just south of me in Aurora at 9 am.

I would like to still do this picnic before the cold weather comes.

Personally, I have the next 3 Sundays free, so I think it might be worth
trying again each Sunday until we get good weather.

So lets try to reschedule it for NEXT sunday, October 2, 2005.

I do have a permit for today, September 25, at site 28 in Busse Woods, so if
anyone wants to still show up and try to dodge the raindrops, feel free.

Please chime in with your comments here!

I am just not interested in dodging raindrops when it comes to getting
the cars out.

Yep. The rain dried up. Yep we could have had the picnic.

Would anyone have shown up with the weather threatening like it was?

Probably not too many. I'd rather do it when we will get a big crowd.

By the way

There is no way I can get a permit for the same place with a week's notice.

We will either have to just show up early and claim a spot, and risk getting
kicked out by someone who really does have a permit, or pick another place
all together.

Not to mention that if more than 25 of us are there together, we could get a
ticket from the park police too.

Any suggestions?

I'm with Gene, I'll have no idea who any of you are, but thanks for sharing your potato salad! I had actually gotten the Mustang out and driven it that morning, but was not happy about the sprinkles that kept starting and stopping. I can still make it Oct. 2.

I may be able to make it that day. I was at Soldier Field Sunday. It rained so much that even my waterproof rain pants got soaked.
