Howdy all.

As some of you may have seen, I was responsible for starting that long thread about the $5.5 million Mustang on the main forum.

In that thread, I told the seller that I would come up there soon to see it, and to meet with them.

I would like to go this coming Saturday - January 19.

The place is called Classicmusclecars.com and it is on Old Rand Road in Wauconda. (far northwest suburbs)

I would suggest we meet at 11 am at the Hooters parking lot at Woodfield Mall (on Golf Road) and then go north on 53 up to Rand - then follow that to the dealer.

This place has lots of neat old Mustangs - and whatever you think about the asking prices - I think we should still go check them out just to see them.

So who is in?

I don't plan on going in.

I will probably park at the south end of the lot (the end nearer to the mall) and wait for everyone.

Its supposed to be *cold* on Saturday - so bundle up!

WHOOPS!

I just got this reply from Randy up there. Looks like we will have to wait!

-Zim

----------------------

Unfortunately, a tour this Saturday is impossible. In the coming weekends, we wi
ll be filming segments for our nightly Comcast Television Show and Speed TV Show
thoroughly discussing the Early Mustangs in general, the distinct and clear dif
ferences between Pre Production and Retail Production, and our Mustang Convertib
le 212. Currently, the cars are tied up with filming, and unavailable for viewin
g.

Therefore, I cordially invite you and your friends to a personal tour when filmi
ng and production is completed. During this tour, the cars will be available for
viewing, we can discuss Mustangs, and as a bonus you and your friends will be a
llowed to privately preview our special show, before it is released on Local Cab
le TV and Nationwide TV. Also, by that time, the 1964 ½ Mustang San Jose Number
40 will be returned to our showroom and available for viewing.

It should be a very enjoyable experience for all! Email me your phone number so
we may make our future arrangements.

Thanks

Randy

That sounds pretty cool. I may have to pack up the family and make the journey to the great white north.

I know I'm not on here much, so I missed all the hoopla about the car until today. Keep us posted, I might be up for the trip.

Definitely count me in whenever you go - but I'll just meet you there as I'm only 10 miles from the place.

Did you guys ever see that $5.5 million car? Any new comments from the owner. It all seems to have settled down after all of the recent hoopla!

It's all there, really...
