Weather permitting, I'll be driving over to Virginia this weekend to look at a 68 Torino GT fastback. It's an S code with a toploader 4 speed. Supposedly all original drive train, interior and sheet metal.

I know it's not a Mustang, but there are a few shared parts.

I've talked with the owner a couple of times and I sure hope he is being straight with me. Otherwise, it's gonna be a long drive home....

Here a heads up on Torinos. Look for rust up underneath both quarters. They seemed to rust out way worse that any Mustang.

Just what exactly do you have in mind nick? :/

Thanks for the insite Rod.

Looks like I will delay my trip until next weekend as the entire planned route will be under a winter weather watch with freezing rain, snow and a mixture of the two this weekend. The drive will be long enough without the added stress of slick roads.

Must be a really good deal to run out to Va. to see one . I just found a new trans business near by . Owner is storing a stock original 68 GT S code but with a C6 . Body is clean a little worn for wear but nice . If the guy could be finessed out of it wouldn't be cheap i'm sure .
