Thanks...I have already requested to be notified when they have one available. They have been out of stock for quite a while.

What engine is it meant for??

I have an original working disty pulled from a running '67 Cougar up in my attic... It's for a 289/302 and dated '67... I don't remember the month. I pulled it 30 years ago...back in the late 1980's. It's sitting in a box in my attic..

Ok, I just saw the WCCC link was for a 390 disty... Sorry....no got..

It shouldn't be THAT hard to find one. Ford built thousands of 390's in the mid 60's and I'd bet at least 75% of them were coupled to a C6. I'm assuming the U at the end is what identifies it as belonging to a C6 equipped vehicle.
Go to your local auto parts store and ask for a rebuilt/remanufactured distributor and you'll get some kind of Autolite/Motorcraft factory distributor. If you know the guys behind the counter they'll work with you to keep exchanging until you get the Autolite.

Thanks! Good idea...fortunately I am in no big rush as I am just starting to take the engine out to have it rebuilt.

I will keep searching through the forums as well. Ideally I will find one dated December 66😊.

I recently bought and sold a 68 390 coupe. It came with 2 or 3 extra distributors that I still have. I will see what they are, will probably be tomorrow though.
