Original Cobra oval air cleaner cover

I just picked up a original cast aluminum air cleaner cover and was just curious how rare they are. It appears to of once had the press in elbow in the base, but someone replaced it with a nut and bolt elbow.

Are there any numbers cast into the bottom of the castings? They've been selling knock-offs for years and years.

Not that rare. It is really tough to tell some of them apart from a repop. Single or dual four base?

There are no numbers on the bottom, however it is cast aluminum. Itís got a single hole in the baseplate for the carb. Iím not concerned with its worth because it has sentimental value. It was given to me by a friends son. His father was ran over by a semi truck while waiting at a metering light to get onto the freeway. Very sad story, but his family is handling the situation well. He also gave me a bag of old Ford Mustang emblems.

No cast in numbers makes it a repop. Sorry.
