Mustang 5.0 85

Thinking about selling my 1985 Mustang 5.0 convertible with 84K original miles. Looking for thoughts as to what you guys think it's worth. All original minus the seats that were just redone like before . Exterior is in really great conditions . Very small looking rust color coming on the little lip of wheel well but nothing is chipped or broken, just color . Everything works cold a/c ,power windows , power locks, radio is good.

These things are all over the map. If it's really clean you could possibly find someone will to go $9K+, perhaps even more (though that's not THAT low mileage). If it's just average, expect around $3500 or there abouts. Better chance if you advertise the car where northerners can see it.

The "four-eyes" are in kind of a funky place. Seems that most are looking for the aero front of the later cars and the greater power that comes with them, but more and more are gravitating towards the 4-eye cars. It's really a matter of condition and finding the right party. Just like any discretionary purchase.

Pictures would help, but rose62's estimates are correct.

I keep noticing the DOT puts up signs to honor my burnouts. That's nice of them.

We had a heck of a time selling my wifes 88 GT vert a few years ago. It was completely original with only 20k miles. Spotless. Every option available. We ended up selling it for 9.5k to a guy from Detroit, who then sold it to his buddy in NY. Ended up here a month or so later....1988 Ford Mustang Black Black

That looks like a really nice car!
The four eye foxes are starting to climb, especially the "notches". I had a 1990 LX 5.0 vert that was really a lotta fun.

You really need to go here Four Eyed Forums
join and post like you did on this forum, those guys will help you out.
