Fox body double D project....

I was growing up during the Fox body era and had an interest in them back then (could never afford one). I would always check them out at car shows and had a deep respect for the cars and their owners. Fox body owners possess a loyalty and passion for their cars not unlike that of "vintage" Mustang owners. I had always thought about building a fox but my passion has always been vintage mustangs. I recently purchased a 93 5.0 LX hatchback from the widow of a former customer. He started building the car with his son(who lost interest due to addiction) and the car has been sitting for a number of years prior to my purchase. They had the engine rebuilt, trick flow heads and intake along with a pro charger supercharger. The remainder of the drivetrain was re-done in preparation to tackle the body. The body is rough so I have been trying to formulate a plan... During my daily 7-11 coffee run I ran into a friend I hadn't seen for a while and during conversation I remembered his son got a '88 4cyl. Notchback from his grandmother and was planning to build a LSX drag car. I asked about it and found out that his son stripped the car in preparation, and was overwhelmed wit the project. He said, the car has been "sitting in my pole barn" for years. Give him $500 and it's yours...
Sooooo.... now I have a drive train, and a solid body...the notchback only has 43k miles....looks like I'm gonna build a fox body daily driver....
Sorry so long winded...lol

So, with a bunch of projects underway this past year the progress on the fox-DD has been a little bit slower than I was hoping...we did get the bodywork perfected and finally got the car sprayed this week. I painted it my favorite Ford Blue, Kona Blue Metallic, and am very happy with the results.

Here it is in the sunlight, which is a very scarce commodity around these parts as of late!
