My father passed away this morning.

My dad was 87 on 8/22. He went in to the hospital on Tuesday and came home from the hospital yesterday, with Hospice. He is on oxygen and can barely communicate. He had a good diner and watch a baseball game on TV. Then he passed away this morning. He was fighting with cancer was in a lot pain.
I would be grateful for your prayers.

Even when you know its coming it hurts. My father told me to never regret growing old, its a privilege denied to many. Glad you could be there for him.

My father passed away from cancer 8.5 years ago. I know he was in terrible pain at the end but he would never admit it. I live 4 hours away and fortunately I got to go see him and eat supper with him, my mother, my younger brother and my sister on Wednesday evening before he passed away early Friday morning . I drove my dad home from the restaurant and I wanted to say something to him about letting him know that I knew that he was suffering and I cared for him but the correct words just wouldn't come to me. He died at home and I am thankful that he wasn't in a hospital or hospice.
I will remember your father and family in my prayers. I know exactly what you're going through.
