Koenigsegg Agera record run

Looks like they data logged run 1 then went back and tweaked up some things. Run 2 starts at round 3:29. This is from the cockpit view. 284 mph. What is amazing is watch what it does once it hits 180.

The 180 power surge is cool. Additionally, the cruising at 130 looks and sounds like 70.

Run one was slightly uphill, run 2 was downhill. They hit 284 but the official speed is the average of the two.

Ha, I thought the same thing. It picked up speed like 180 mph was nothing aerodynamically... and then watching the 140 mph cruise in the right lane looked like my own dashcam on the Thruway at legal speeds.

I love that Koenigsegg is taking on the established, factory-armed historic makes and really bloodying their noses. I know the Chiron has a lot left in it, and I'm certain if Ferrari was so inclined they could make an FXX-K version of the LaFerrari for such high-speed record runs (they don't seem to be concerned with such "gauche" bragging rights anymore).

The F5 looks incredible but I'm waiting to see how much of a boutique vehicle it ends up being. I'll likely never see one.

SchnorrCS: when people find out how into these cars I am, all the sudden they have/had one just like mine, but it was purple and had a hemi, and was a Shelby.

I'm just guessing but the driver really took his time slowing down. Maybe that was to allow the thing to do a decent cool down? I think these types of cars run like half a dozen coolers.

If they get it to market as fast as they have the Model 3, The other supercar manufacturers have plenty of time to respond.

1970 Mach 1 M code
1990 5.0 LX Limited Edition

I keep noticing the DOT puts up signs to honor my burnouts. That's nice of them.

The newly announced roadster will be a factory 8 second car. Golly gee.

If the new sodium batteries are as good as they are saying, the Tesla charge/re-charge concerns will be over. Tesla is also coming out with 2 models of 18 wheeler tractors that are guaranteed for a million miles of run time and have a better drag coefficient than a Bugati. Over the life span of the truck, it is cheaper to run than a diesel by around 20 percent and out performs it in every category. Obviously, the lease price of the Tesla 18 wheeler is more than the diesel but there is no fuel bill with it. Musk said that charge range of the Tesla will work for 80 percent of all the truck routes in the U.S.
