Jack Nicklaus' Grandson

Hitting a hole in one at the age of 15 with his only swing in the par 3 tournament at the Masters caddying for his Granddad...

Get any better than that for Jack?

Most golfers spend a lifetime trying for the elusive hole in one. When you do it at 15, what's left in life? Seriously though, credit where credit is do. That's something most will never accomplish.

This was awesome.
Before I got injured 2 years ago. I played every week I could. Weather permitting. I only came close once in my life to getting a hole in one. My friends and I lost sight of my ball due to shadows on the green. It was a 196 yard par 3. My ball was 1 inch from the cup when we got to the green.
It takes a lot of talent and luck to get a hole in one, an eagle, or a double eagle.
Can you buy rounds at 15? LOL.

I'm sure Grandpa took care of that one, and proud to do so

I was with my Dad last year when he got a hole in one, his first and only one! He has played golf religiously for over 50 years. It was great to share that moment with him.

Several years ago my wife and I saw Jack hit from ~125 yards out, land the ball a couple feet beyond the cup, then it proceeded to roll back into the cup. Incredible!

I grew up in Augusta and while in junior/senior high school worked the 2 player status board (Thru 8) at #9 green during the tournament. I also worked the par 3 contest, measuring closest to the pin. No need getting the tape measure out for this one. My daughter and I went Tuesday and had a great time.

Well since I'm a golf professional, not to be confused with a professional golfer, I thought I'd chime in.

Growing up with the sport, Mr. Nicklaus has been my all-time favorite and that will never change. To watch the Par 3 tournament yesterday and to see his grandson knock it in the hole was awesome. You could see how much it meant to Mr. Nicklaus as the tears came and when talking about it he became emotionally choked up. It brought tears to my eyes too, a special moment and memory for the entire Nicklaus family I'm sure.

I've had three holes-in-one and am always trying to get another. After all, the object of the game is to get the ball in the hole in as few strokes as possible. Hence my handle name of subpar63 - 63 being my lowest score while playing 18 holes, which I've done twice. I'm always striving to better that score!

Is he the one that dislocated his ankle while celebrating the hole in one? Caught just a blip of it on SportsCenter but didn't hear a name.

Wow indeed. I didn't think he would be able to play.

For anyone who has played (or tried to play) golf, it's simply amazing how these guys (and girls) make it look so easy...

Have had the discussion many times and have always said - be wary of the injured golfer.

I remember one tournament that a playing partner was suffering from a very bad back. I watched him struggle to get out of his car, could barely hit the ball on the range and then after teeing off, I honestly did not think he would be able to walk down the first fairway. If memory serves he went on to shoot -4 (68) that day. Taught me a lot about perseverance which can be easily applied to our hobby.

I've shot 63 twice as well...once on the front nine and once on the back...
