Delta bay Mustang Maverick

Has anyone dealt with Delta Bay Mustang Maverick before (mouthful of a tittle)
https://deltabaymustangmaverick.com/

previously known as Delta Bay Mustang

I purchased this
https://deltabaymustangmaverick.com/...s-not-included

It was listed at $30 but later was told it was $70. Which is fine but misleading. I was told by the lady on the phone I would be charged $70 - I had to call in to complete my transaction.

The package came in, great! Then saw the receipt which I was billed $102

WTF just happened?! I had to double take on this

Has anyone experienced this?

$32 shipping...for that? No way. I would think you could call and ask....heck, they might add another $30 or so just for the extra phone call...lol

They wouldn't be the first to charge crazy shipping.

I'm sure they had to charge you sales tax, but that would only be less than $7. I think you need to call them back and question the whole thing. What ever they charged you for shipping is too much. I think $30 might have been right for that part. No way I would pay $70 for that.

I tend to feel a little dirty/slimmy doing business with people who are not upfront and honest about fees.

There had been some thoughts of returning the product but saw a small print on the receipt a 20% restocking fee - okay? another hidden fee and it's not stated anywhere in the site.
I wouldn't be surprised if I have to pay for shipping as well.

These are outdated online business models. A little odd dealing with this.
I guess I'll just stick to the big name retailers

Garage
Other warning signs would include an eCommerce site using the GoDaddy web builder that’s full of placeholder content. They spent basically no money on this site and it shows.

There's a forum member here that is going to 3D print a radio delete panel modified to mount gauges for the '67/68. It will be a blank, so cut your own holes and have a custom made gauge panel. It's not ready yet but should be soon. I don't know the cost yet but it will for sure be less than what you paid.
