Wife Confronted Me Last Night: Says I have a Drinking Problem

Well, I was home all day yesterday, and the wife secretly picked up all the empties and confronted me:

2 32 ounce Gatorade 0
4 12 ounce Gatorade 0
3 17 ounce Diet Cokes
2 23 ounce waters
2 large glasses of water from the sink

Around 7 quarts

Did I mention I was working outside a lot in Texas, over 100 degrees?

Also went through a few shirts.

I don't think you have a drinking problem unless you had to pee more than once during the day. If you did you are overindulging!

The next time she confronts you about drinkin' play this for her. One of the greatest country songs of all time.

She didn't mention the ability to use a trash can problem? Beer would be better than those diet cokes!

I like the new hydration standards-Drink however much it takes for your pee to be clear. Thats a lot of beer. Luckily our tap water tastes good or I couldn't afford it.

In all seriousness, if you are not accustomed to it, you should not be working in that kind of heat. Hell, you shouldn't even go out to get the mail.

I don't agree with a million often, but if your drinking diet Coke you might want to switch to battery acid to save a few calories.

Yeah it takes a lot to stay hydrated in this heat. I go through several quarts of water, sometimes tea and maybe a soft drink with a meal every day and my blood sugar is fine, but no joke, have your A1C checked to be sure you aren't a Type 1 or Type 2 diabetic, spilling ketones in your urine.

It's been a cooler than normal summer, as we've not even actually hit 100 yet. We rode dirt bikes 3 days this week in full gear (full wrap around body protection, knee pads, elbow pads, helmet, neck brace, etc...), and the terrain we ride is pretty demanding physically, so it's a pretty strenuous activity. Hydration is key though.

We had an absolutely lovely Spring, and Summer came a little late this year. However, it's here with a vengeance now. It was 115 yesterday, and 105 on Thursday. However, Sunday is supposed to only hit 75! The weather here is absolutely bi-polar.
