Military Family Benefit Show Sept. 11th -- Wichita KS.

Everyone, we had a club member suggest we do a car show to benefit the military. Her husband is currently in the Middle East. The South Central KS Mustang Club thot it was a great idea. Hope you consider attending. Thx, Dean

Official press release --

The SCKMC is hosting this show to benefit the solder's and their families of the 601st based it Fort Riley and who are deployed in the Middle East.

The proceeds will go to the FRG (Family Response Group) to be distributed to the families to help cover the costs of shipping the Care Packages that they send to their loved ones. The military provides transport overseas but the families have to pay to get them to the military for transport.

These packages are very important to the troops and help in their morale. These packages usually contain numerous types of items, family video's, pictures, cookies and goodies, etc. and sometimes the Crayon Drawing that usually ends up on the frig. Imagine if you will being away from your family for long periods of time and recieving one of these from home. Of all the ways we can support them, this has got to one of the best.
