    With that cam I would think a 750 CFM carb would match well. I read several scary feedbacks about that cam on the Summit Racing web site. Flat lobes real quick. Not that necessarily means anything. Keep me posted! Loving my Lunati cam with a 650. Great for stop and go city driving. Pulls real strong up to 5300 RPM.

    Hey mate sorry only just spotted this message now. After about 2 month of research I ended up going with the comp xtreme energy 262H. My engine builder was concerned about that t much lift without doing other head work etc. I did liked that Lunati. The engine builder Ed (who is an older known muscle car heavy hitter from way back in Detroit, and an FE expert) said FE engines benefit from having much more exhaust side duration, as they breath well on the intake side from stock, but not so good on the exhaust side, so a split duration aggressive lobe cam works best. I got 428 CJ valves to go with it plus Harland sharp roller tip rocker shafts. Will be going with FPA coated headers and 2.5" magnaflow dual system with the straight through performance mufflers. Still now sure on the carb as yet. The engine has just been pulled up apart now for decking and honing, and will be going to back together in the next few weeks.

    Hi Mate.

    Are you running stock pistons with this Cam?

    What rockers are you running? Do they need to be adjustable for the high lift?

    Yes, that's it.

    The 17 47 by 2800 is the ignition. I would start at 15* initial, 45* total by 2800 RPM. This cam runs terrible with more normal advance. It likes a lot of advance.

    And the carb specs should be real close, (with a 650).
    65 72 mains, std spring for secondaries, (very important).

    I use iron adjustable rockers. Nothing special.

    For motor oil I use Mobile 1 15/50 with 4 oz of Energy Release iron conditioner. This is what I did the break in with as well. Give these specs to the builder.

    17* initial 47* total by 2800 RPM.
    65/72 main jets, std spring over secondary diaphragm, .063" low speed air bleeds, .033 primary .035 secondary high speed.

    What was the ignition set at?

    What Rockers are you running? I was planning on adding some Harland Sharp roller tip shaft rockers:

    I might be mistaken but your set up sounds like its a bit tricky to tune and to keep it reliable and in tune? Not sure if that's a characteristic of the quick fuel carb or the cam spec? I have to go with a Holley vac seconds 650 as that is what has already been bought and provided by my engine builder in Detroit (I am i Australia). Everything about the cam sounds great. I just want to get in once or twice a week and it start and run fine without me having to constantly play with the tune
