I pretty much have this done but wanted to know if you had any problem clocking the pitman arm correctly? I see that the Trooper is indexed every 90 degrees but none of those positions seem right. Thanks.

What PS pump did you use? Would you describe in more detail where you got the bearing for the end of the steering column and how you installed it? Did you have to cut part of the steering column tube off? Thanks again.

No problems with the install. It has worked excellent and no leaks. I didn't look into any alternatives with the pitman arm. To get it machined or resplined, would cost a lot. In that case you are probably better off getting one of the Borgeson boxes.

Thanks for the write-up on the DIY Trooper PS install. I'm thinking of doing it to my 65. How has the PS system been running for you - would you do it again? Any problems with the pitman arm? Instead of welding the pitman arm, did you look into getting the output shaft from the Trooper box machined to fit the Mustang arm? Thanks.
