Doesn't look like I would have much for you. I did replace the taillights but they really did not need it, other than that, there will more than likely be a few pieces of bright work but most of mine are good so will have to wait and see. I'll be making a list when I'm done of the leftovers. Where are you in NW Indiana? I used to live in Valparaiso before moving to Orland Park (I know, bad move going to Illinois but got remarried). Quite the project you have going on there. I'll probably have some parts left over from mine if my brother doesn't swipe them. Anything you need before it gets tossed? Door handles, mirrors, lights, doors, bolts, etc. Would have to check the scrap pile but your welcome to them for free. Jim

Thanks! Yeah, both the far pass and drivers side corners of the firewall were rotted out. That in turn rotted out the side cowl panels also. The nice thing about these cars is every little patch panel is available. I see it as a large puzzle. This piece goes here, this one here, etc etc. With minimal trimming all has fit together really well. There's always that uncertainty in the back of my mind about it. However, I've seen people online driving these cars with everything from horrid weld work, driven w/out floors, patches attached with silicon, etc. I have all the confidence about what I'm doing compared to what's actually driving around out there. Thanks again and stay tuned!

Your photobucket is an inspiration to me! You look like you had some rust on the inside of your firewall. did you replace it? Are you worried about it?

Thanks! Kinda scary when you cut the front end off, but once it's off there's no going back lol. Haven't done much in the last three or so weeks with work and the garage being so cold. I bought a handheld sand blaster to clean the firewall off so I can weld the new section up. Once the drivers side is on then I rinse/repeat on passenger. Then the cowl. ugh...

BTW, took a look at your resto pics. Looks good! Looks like you're doing it right! Any new progress on the passenger side?

Thanks! It's a rough road but rewarding. Just sucks doing this over winter in a cold garage hehe.
