Hey Creaky, what part of Indiana are you at? I am in Westfield. Have any pics of the Willys in the background?

    Hello Creaky,
Saw your post on your undercarriage. I am in a similar position, my 66 belonged to a family of wealth so the undercarriage is in overall great condition. I am sure it is not as nice as your, but close. I am in the process of installing a rebuilt 8" rear end and am hand cleaning the undercarriage. After removing all the road grime and leaking rear end oil, I am down to a flat black coating that is is overall 80% great condition.
My plan was to POR15 the undercarriage, but the work to prep it for POR15 is going to kill my back and arms and am now thinking, it is a waste to remove the factory paint since 80% of it is in good condition. Yes.....the 20% area need to be addresses and treated.....so still up in the air on what to do.
What did you find out about the marine corrosion block?
