What my 700+hp NA street/strip car sounded like early last year with its full exhaust:

(1 7/8" tube headers, 3.5" collectors 3.5" pipes, 4 "see through" straight through mufflers, and 2.5" tailpipes.)

When racing I remove the 2 rear mufflers and the tailpipes. It then sounds like this:

Here is my 1966 289 2V with a dual exhaust conversion using 2 inch Magnaflow XL3. It hadn't been started in a week or two prior to the install.

I recently added a pair of total flow single chamber mufflers. They are direct copies of the flowmaster outlaws at 1/3 of the price. It was a cold start so idle is a little high.

289, 4bbl Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, shorty Hedman headers, Magnaflow 15816 2.5 SS exhaust with X-pipe currently with turn-downs.

No more drone with this new exhaust. Used to run DroneMaster 40s and had a lot of drone.
