This evening my son and I taped off the perimeter, cut the old hard-as-a-rock weatherstripping and removed the front and rear glass on the Emberglo 66, found the original headliner scraps and gorgeous paint underneath. The frame is solid and like new. Couldn't be happier with that as we are getting ready to put in the new headliner, windshield and rear glass with gaskets, and windlace...

Yeah, sometimes I take the truck. Your sig pic looks like ya need one !

When I call local paint and body or parts places, and ask for 3M Bedding and Glazing Compound they're all "what's THAT for?..."

"To seal old car windshields and backlights the right way."

Staying up late tonight putting the front and rear windshields back in the Emberglo 66 with new gaskets and a bunch of 3M 08509.

Started with a full tank and then filled up in Tucson, Pboenix, and Quarzsite. At each stop I was either at half tank or just a bit below.

I need to check my mpg with the Autolite 4100, C4 and 2:80 gears next time I fill up. I love the C4, but I just can't imagine what it would do with a custom geared AOD...

I finished installing the glass in the Emberglo car about 4:30 this morning. Proof-positive a fellow can remove the glass, put in a headliner and reinstall the glass by himself. It's quite a job and I hope I don't have to do it again anytime soon.

Its alive!!

Dropped in the 5.0L with the help of my sons (nothing better then when the boys give me a hand). Got her running, so far no leaks and runs and sounds great. Still need to re-install the hyd clutch, monte carlo bar and the hood before taking it for a rip.

So far so good.

Well took her out for its maiden voyage. It had a bit of hesitation and was wanting to stay on high idle, grr. Brought it back in the garage, here the choke ground wire came off. :-)

Hyd clutch feels great and has tons of power. I still need to do some fine tuning and possibly up-size the metering rods and jets, but will leave it alone for now. I am sure I will be needing new rear tires by the end of the season as it is already, hehe.

Drove back home from Charlotte and found my own two Mustangs in the carport, waiting to be driven. Plan to do just that after a few hours sleep. HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE !!
