New Member - Alex - Chicago

Hello Everyone,

My name is Alex and I live in Chicago. I purchased a 1968 Mustang Coupe in amazing condition at the beginning of April from a friend I went to high school with in Montana.

Basically what happened was on the way to a friends wedding she got a flat tire and dropped the vehicle off in my parents yard and never picked it up, this was in 2017. The car sat in my parents yard for 2 years uncovered and exposed to the elements (tons of snow) until this past March when my parents suggested that I look into buying the car. Just based off the pictures oh how well kept the inside and outside were and my dad looking it over I decided to look into it buying it. Come to find out, this car has all the original parts and pieces (outside of the gas tank) including the original engine that has only 57K on it. After a little negotiating I purchased the car at the beginning of April for an incredible price still not knowing if it would turn over easy or if there would be a little work to get her up and running. My dad went out the next day and put a new battery in the car and it turned over on the 2nd crank, the following week we put new tires on the car and my parents have been driving it around like it just came off the showroom floor while I have been patiently waiting since the beginning of April to even see the car in person.

Somebody really took care of that, all the way to adding a Sanden air conditioner compressor. Very nice score, and congratulations on the purchase.

Thanks Guys! this is my first Mustang I have ever purchased and i am very lucky to have found the car in as good of shape as it is. Ill be updating the album once I actually see the car in person. (only 2 more weeks lol)

I attached another photo of where the car sat for 2 years, owners never came by to get it or touch it.
