Noob Intro

Figured I'd be polite. I've been lurking off and on for awhile, so I figured it was time.

Been a long time 69-70 Mustang lover. First saw 1969 Fastback when I was about 8. Was playing over at a friends house and they lived on a pretty busy intersection (stop light). We were running around and this red car pulled up to the light....and it sounded like a war was going on under the hood. I stopped dead in my tracks...looked at the car for what seemed like hours (probably 10 seconds) then walked up to the edge of the street where the car was. I asked the guy what kind of car was it. He was super nice and said it was a 1969 Mustang Fastback. I told him it was the most beautiful car I'd ever seen.

Almost 40 years later and 6 Mustangs later, I'm still in love with the cars. I did have a 1969 FB when I was 19 but was stupid and sold it thinking I would be able to pick another up later down the road. Sold it for $700...solid body, no engine or transmission, 75% of the interior was there and all the wiring was good. I could still punch myself in the face for letting that one go.
But I've had that one, an 82GT, 95GT, 01 Cobra, 03 Cobra and my current 11GT.

My wife said she was open to me buying another 69 FB and my intention is to use my 11GT as a donor car for the motor and possibly the transmission (mt82). Because of what I'm wanting to do, I'm hunting for a L, T or F code car cause I'd rather not mess up a rarer model.

Anyways, I'll probably still lurk and see what all I can continue to learn before I pick up another Fastback...
Take care.

Welcome to the forum. I'm a bit partial to the 69/70 Fastbacks myself. There is an unspoken rule here though, we want photos of your Mustang(s). Well, its unspoken till we speak it. So post up some photos of your 11GT!
