Any idea what it costs to rent a garage in the area? I have been trying to find a place were i can keep my car after its painted and i begin to put it back together. Haven't been very successful in finding places but i found one so far and they wanted $300 a month

Thanks, Steve

That sounds about right for what it would cost on Staten Island. I assume its gotta be close to the same in Jersey.

really! Thats 3,600 a year i guess its time to find my own house. Theres no way i am shelling out that much money to someone else just to use a garage. If i am going to spend that kind of money i might as well spend it on a mortgage.

Thanks, Steve

I guess you guys got a lot more room up there. I think in the last five years they put up about 8 of those self storage facilities near my house. I cant believe people got that much stuff.

Thanks, Steve

Try looking into some of those storage places. I had one 12 years back, a 10X20. I had plenty of room with a car and some parts. IIRC, it was only $90/month, but I'm sure it's a bit more now. Some of those places will let you work on stuff, some won't.

Nothing worthwhile is ever quick, cheap or easy, those that can't do, complain

I was renting a 10x20 this year for $110/month at a self storage. I couldn't do any work at the site.

I drove by one and it said they had a special on a 10x20 for $219. I didn't realize you were allowed to store cars in them. I thought it would be a problem with the gas.

Thanks, Steve

Steve,
You sure can store your car in the self storage units. I have got both of our Mustangs in 2 right now & sometimes & will go down there & work on them. I just put the engine in the 69 Coupe a couple weeks ago. A 10x20 here in western NY state they go for about $80.00 per month.

Hay i wonder if they would mind if i paint my car in one. :p drag over an air compressor and paint gun. It would sure be better then making a mess in my garage.
Its not fair why do you guys have everything cheaper out there. $80 compared to $219. }

Thanks, Steve
