There's a company in Kent called Blastech 253-872-2229. The use Walnut/garnet media.

The guys in Kent did my fenders, doors, etc.
They will do the body after my body guy is ready.

Did a great job too.

I think they use straight walnut shells...I have a sample -- I should go look!

BTW, cash (as in greenbacks) talks here.

We just had the newest Wild West Mustang Ranch "project" car blasted for $350, not including doors, fenders, or hood. Alternative Blasting in Marysville. Came back to us nice and clean.

And Blastech did my doors (inside, outside and inside the door itself) for $50. Same goes for every other part of similar size (hood, decklid, fender) -- all for around 40-50 each.
The nice part of using Walnut shells is that the grain on the doors is back to its original detail. Can't think of another process that works near this well to revive the grain.

After my painter gets back, the shell goes down for a rotisserie media blast -- every nook and cranny.
It's about the same price you mentioned for the shell alone.

What do you mean by cash talking? Do they only take cash, or are they pricey?

No, but if you hand them cash instead of checks or Visa, they may cut you a deal on the price.
