Max is the name, and Thunderbird is the game
SWMBO's new car, to pick up on Monday...65 TBird 300hp 390, black interior on ragoon red exterior, all receipts from 2nd owner car, no rust, straight body, and garaged in Portland area it's entire life, rebuilt motor and tranny in '99 with 2k. Original paint, needs repaint with minimal work and exc. interior... $5600.00

Cindy is one jazzed, true lead sled lover...and I'll need to wait another year for a vert.

Cindy agreed to pull the 4Runner out of the garage and let Max in. So...all I need to do is extend the garage wall 8ft, and relocate the big screen into the kitcken.

Seriously though...I had to rearrange the garage, but all 17' of the USS Max will clear my shelving by around 2 1/2 ft...and... will require the tennis ball technique to bring her into port. :thumbup:

Hey...BTW....you just got me to post #1969

Now I can NEVER post again!!...I will have to keep editing this post to make a new post...

Alright Troy Otis...I see what your doing in the new thread...Sorry...wont fall for that. Just like the quality post thread when you set me up by not posting...therefore focusing the Bucketmaster General on 1dog1.....nutuhhh staying at 1969! :p

Update:

This bird never landed. }

We drive all the way to freakin Portland to witness a rebuilt motor that smokes at startup, has very low oil pressure that hardly moves with RPM change, leaks, and looks to have been freshly painted about 40 years ago, and no receipts... I guess this POS owner figures all prospective T-Bird owners must be "bird brains".

Still looking, 58-66 T-Bird, 64-65 Falcon 4sp or vert, 67-70 Mustang 4sp or vert. Under 8K - mild project.

Yep...good eye, thats the one. He changed his add cuz the no dings and no rust, I put to rest for him as well. The car was clean, but I am NOT doing drivetrain AND paint on a car with 10K end value.

There's a local '65-ish T-Bird I've seen for sale near me. I can get the phone number off of it and maybe take a couple pics after the weekend for ya.

Thanks Brad, that would be great. I'm not so sure we're up to that drive again unless we have a little prior knowledge that the car is what the owner says. Let me know what you find out though.
