F*ck the NBA. Enjoy OK ya bums. I'm sick and tired of being held hostage by pro sports. Come an go as you please, who cares?

Bring me the NHL. Pittsburgh, we want your Penguins.

I tend to agree. I'm not much of a NBA fan. Just don't mess with my Seahawks!

These new owners are transparant as hell. New owner has an arena in Oklahoma City but has no NBA team to play in it. Yet he says he is dedicated to staying in Seattle. Yeah, right.

"The Okie Sonics" ...has a nice ring, don't it?

Although the NBA has gone to greed, there has been alot of good years and a history of the first professional Seattle frachise. IMO it's never good to loose. Adding a sport that scores a whooping 1 pt. per game isn't the answer....thats for damn sure.

Yeah.................. let'em leave. I'm tired of seeing voters saying NO to new stadiums, only to have local gov. say yes.

Sure, everybody’s go their favorite Pro Sports, and Pro Sports tend to provide community catalyst & pride, but it's high time big business, which is what we're talking about here, pay their own freek'n way

Sounds like someone that hasn't seen many hockey games. You need someone that KNOWS the game to attend with/explain it. The speed, athleticism and play making is what makes the game...not how many times the chip of vulcanized rubber crossed the thin red line. Plus, it's always exciting when a boxing match breaks out.

It definitely beats the hell out of, "oh look another basket",..."I missed it",..."don't worry there will be 50 or sixty more and only the last 2 minutes matter anyway".

I've been a "fan" in the past..and in some years more of a Fair weather type...but, I agree this new stadiam thing every time we turn around "Sucks"!
In my opinion the success of any franchise is determined by the commitment of the ownership. I don't think there's been much commitment in the Sonics for quite a while now...I even wonder about the Mariners sometimes?

Where's that NASCAR track going in?

i'm all in favor of fixing the KEY to accomodate an NHL franchise. My son was born the year the Sonics won the title. Hasn't been the same since.

Sonics...over and out.

Unfortunately, I don't think the Key is the answer for hockey. It's sucks for T-Birds games (one full end blocked off) and only holds about 6k people. The NHL is going to want on the order of 15-18k seats.

For reference, GM Place (the Canucks abode) holds just a tick over 18k.

Actually...now that you mention it...I cant afford to take the whole family anyway (or dont care to). I'd rather go watch "Jake the Snake Roberts" take on "George the Animal Steel" anyday....even Skynasaurous beats todays NBA...OK...you win...let em go.

The Sonics, and Blazers may well leave the PNW. Weird I know Paul Allen is looking to dump the Blazers and we shall see if they end up moving away.

Personally I think the guy should have bought the Hornets and moved them to OKC since they were already developing a fan base there.
