Here's some motivation, I'm selling or parting out a 69 coupe that may have all the parts you need for both your cars. I listed it in the PNW car/parts section. Come take it all and do parts change out and hit the road/cruse.
Is it complete, just minus the motor? Nevermind...
I've been "greasy the squeaky wheel." The weather has been so crappy this spring/early summer, that I didn't get out and drive like I usually do, until about July. I pulled the carb off one Mustang and sent it out to be rebuild, so it's dead. Polishing and driving another and all is well there. Trying to do some interior work on my S-code and collecting parts.
Then, my truck croaked and I had to get towed home on a rollback the other day. Easy fix (in a relative sense, if anything on a greasy old '68 pickup is ever easy)--just replaced the fuel pump and it's back on the road.
And on my weird little project, a '64 Comet Cyclone, I am wanting to take it up to the Ford Fever Classic at Woodburn this Sunday. I got it early spring and spent all my time replacing everything to get it running after it sat for 25 years. From the gas tank to the water pump, radiator, rebuilding the carburetor, a tune-up, rebuilding the brake booster and re-sleeving the master cylinder, etc, etc... Now it am (hopefully) on the final stretch. I replaced the front wheel cylinders and soft lines last night/tonight and am repacking wheel bearings and such; have the left done and buttoned up and am half and hour away from moving on to the rear. The I need to drain the tranny fluid and replace the filter, buy some rubber, and then it's on the road. Like that's all going to get done for the show/drags on Sunday. Right.
