WA DOL Plate Question

Up for new plates and was thinking of buying a vintage replica plate and trying to use it.

1965 WASHINGTON STATE LICENSE PLATE--EMBOSSED WITH YOUR CUSTOM NUMBER - This plate was also used in 1966 and 1967

Anyone have any experience with this?

It says they can't be used for legal purposes. They are just a novelty item. With that said, I have year of manufacture plates with 69 registration stickers on mine. Had no problem registering the car. I bought them after a very patient wait and search.

You can't use "repop" license plates. They have to have been issued by the state. You CAN use a period-correct plate, if you can find one.
