Congratulations to ruger

Ruger teased us a few months ago with a pic of his Mustang "E". I thought I would select him as a Ride of the Month so we could garner some additional info on his car. You don't see these cars very often. In fact, I think I have only seen one in person at a MCA show in Nashville many years ago. Here is ruger's story and some additional pics of his unique for certain Mustang. Nice car sir. Thank you for sharing with us.

My wife and I own a 69' Mustang E' which will be easiest explained through a Google search. There is a lot to talk about but will get to my story. We bought it to make a Mach 1 clone. We knew it was a six cylinder car but the price was right for us. Anyways, we gave it a full resto. Every nut and bolt out also all of the wiring, fuel lines etc... empty shell. Concours restore set us back in time and money which is why it took four years to build. Our car has the original color Silver Jade. The 250 six with C4 auto and a 2:33 rear gears in the rear end. Our plans now include a few local shows and possibly maybe expand out further, I am not much on travel. Lol. Being an ultra rare car is the best feature about it. There are two scheduled Mustang magazine articles upcoming. Hopefully Feb. Mustang Times is releasing an article and later this Spring Mustang Monthly will send a photographer and release an article sometime after that. I do not have videos but will include pictures. Thanks and I hope there is a big turnout for the Ride of the Month. Tim and Barb Wise.

Wow, super rare. Wonder how many actually survived? The restoration is very nicely done, congrats to the owners.

Very cool! It's neat to learn about these unheard of models.

4 speed
Bench Seat
Power Steering
All-around discs
Aftermarket A/C

And not nearly enough time

I wonder how many folks walk up to the car when the hood is up, expecting to see some fire breathing V8, either a small block or FE, and think, "WTF, a six?". I think this a great car and like the lengths you folks went to get it to its current state. A big thumbs up for you and your 69 Mustang "E", and welcome to the ROTM club!

Tim and Barb - congratulations and welcome to the ROTM club.

Awesome story and car - I've enjoyed reading about your ride and seeing all your pics you've shared over the past few years, seen a few posts on facebook etc.

Enjoy it to the fullest!!

Bravo for keeping the car true to it's roots. You and your wife will be fine caretakers of this fine piece of automotive history.

Tim, if you don’t mind post the links here in this thread to the magazine articles when they are released. Will definitely be a nice addition to the story.

Thank you very much for all of your kind words. I have been on this forum since 2003 or 2004 and never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be honored with such an honor like this. Thank You PatrickStapler for the pick. I will indeed insert the links when I receive them. The Mustang Times article link will require a subscription to Mustang Club of America, so you will need to sign in the view it online. As luck would have it my copy has not been delivered to my door yet but am patiently waiting. Lol{%22issue_id%22:5 59451,%22page%22:0}

Waiting for Mustang Monthly to send a photographer this Spring as they want to do an article.

I hope this picture isn't too big. From Mustang Times article
