This is a 1968-1971 Autolite Battery. The Entire world would like to see some company (any company for that matter) produce a reproduction of the "Correct" 1965 to 1967 Autolite Battery. Will your company finally take the bull by the horns, and take the challenge?? It's no harder to produce the 1965 to 1967 Autolite Battery than a 1968 to 1971 Autolite Battery like you are already producing.

Here is what a Original, Correct 1965 to 1967 Autolite Battery looks like below... I would assume that you would have to obtain an original core to copy. They are around. If you would reproduce this battery, Your company would be not only the hit of the Classic Mustang World, but the Ford World as well. There were a few different variations of this same battery. Some had Red Caps and some had Yellow caps and some came painted, and some did not come painted. They were all the same style battery. The Yellow caps are already available in reproduction. It would seem that the Yellow cap Batteries were not painted except for the top Battery Warning area, but the Red Cap batteries were fully painted and detailed. See all pics below... Are you up to the Challenge??

Ill definitely look into what it would take , Are these batterie 24 and 27 s but just have the added script to them. We don't paint any lettering on any of ours that something you would have to have done after the fact. but the red caps and yellow caps we have and can use. I just need to know the group sizes of this battery. because if it is the same as what we have with added script yes there is a possibility of us putting them into production. I would have to see how many out there are looking for this as it does cost a lot to add the script but if there were enough interested then yes it could be done. So I may need to look into a poll of some sort to see the value in this battery . Thanks for the heads up on it and will be looking into it. Thanks for the pictures that always helps us .

Also who has the yellow battery in production already? thanks

They are Group 22 Batteries pictured. .....but Group 24 Batteries (which was a Heavy Duty Option at the time) would have looked the exact same...just longer. To bring either to market would be a Godsend to the Ford Community...since they (Classic '64-'67 Ford Owners) have been putting the incorrect 1968-1971 Autolite Battery Repros into their cars for over 30 years....with no other options for 1965-1967 cars... They may have been used in Mid '64 as well which would also cover the 1964 year also. My prediction...They would sell like hotcakes..

"Also who has the yellow battery in production already? thanks"

If you meant "Yellow Caps"... They are being reproduced and sold by various Mustang vendors...but the kicker is that you have to buy the Pseudo-Phony Battery Topper with it.. Noone is currently making the correct 1965-1967 Group 22 or Group 24 Autolite Battery. I don't know who the maker of them is...You'd have to buy a Battery Topper from the weblink below to find out..

See weblink below..

The topper and decal are wrong, but the Yellow Caps are correct... It tries to "duplicate" the 1965-1967 Battery Top....but fails miserably....but this is the best that the market has to offer...
