Went to an Nationals MCA show at Disney a few years back... and one MCA Nationals Show at Jacksonville, FL a few years before that... They were both Scorchers.... but were in mid Summer.... and both were two of the best shows that I've ever gone to in the past 20 years...

Here in Melbourne,FL It's closer to the water, plus tons of restaurants and hotels...and anything you need... Also I know the location of this show, There will be lots of shade, restrooms, food and lots of areas to get out of the sun if its a hot day.. September is a funny month here in Florida, You could literally get anything weatherwise..

Now I have a goal to get my '65 vert back on the road by Sept. 2020!

Spent a summer up in Albany, NY where you're from once helping a friend move... It was hotter than hell that year...and I'll never forget it.. It was Triple digits... Hot. Humid, and felt like hell..

A show here in Melbourne, won't be any Hotter than an Albany, NY Summer... and that's coming from someone who was born and grew up on Long Island.. Just an FYI... We have cool ocean breezes here, so it never gets as hot as Orlando which is totally land locked with no breeze..

Was that the Mickey at the Brickyard location, or the Disney Coronado Springs location? I hear the Brickyard location was the pits. Too bad, it seemed like it could have been a nice location if more had been done by Disney. I heard the Coronado show was great. But nothing like that has been put on there since?

I'll be attending a show on the tarmac of Miami Executive Airport, a small airport close to my house. It is known to be a very hot location with all cars out on the tarmac, in the sun. No umbrellas or easy-ups allowed due to aircraft parked and taxing on the adjacent runways. If I can handle this, I am sure I can handle the Melbourne show.

I actually did not know about this American Muscle Car Museum. I looked it up and am quite impressed. With the MCA involved, I would think that they would have many areas of concern covered.

Yes, that show was held at the Richard Petty driving school race track near Disney. It was called Mustangs at the Mickyard. 2013 was the year.

So the Mickeyard was dismantled in 2015 from what I just read. Seems they went cheap and did not build anything but the track. No pits, stalls, bleachers, etc. That and many other problems, it was doomed to fail from the very beginning. Too bad.

I also read up on that Muscle Car Museum in Melbourn. Though private, that looks like quite the facility. Their photos show when FPL used the area as a staging ground after one of the Hurricanes. I wonder if that plot of land to the East is also theirs, and will be used for the show?

As president of the Space Coast Mustang Club I can say if you don't come to the show uou will be missing out on a great time. The weather in Melbourne that time of year will be warm but not all that bad. We have got the hotels lined up already and are eorking ol n the fun and games. This will be one of the best events in the country for 2020. The museum is air conditioned if you get too hot. If registered in the show, you will receive 2 passes to the museum. It is jaw dropping. This is as private collectikn of 365 of the most gourgeous cars to be seen. So remember if you snooze you lose. We will be posting more on the show as we get closer to the registration time and finalize the program. Mark your calenders and don't miss out on a Great Show.

I got to sit in on one of the meetings where this show was talked about. I can say there is a lot going on, and plans being made. I was told that I would be receiving a list of what's going on and when and I can post this information here for you all.

Here is what I currently know:
  • The Muscle Car Museum property can be set up to handle up to ~900 cars.
  • Night time security will be provided for the property.
  • A trailer parking area will be provided on the property and will have the same night time security.
  • Tents for the people, not cars, will be provided. Great to get out of the sun and heat.
  • Food vendors will be on-site.
  • Goody Bags for first XX signed up participants.
  • Show shirts for participants and for sale.

Still to follow:
  • Which hotels will have the group rates & rates.
  • Entry fee for the Museum. (Show participants get 2 free passes.)
  • Show entry fee(s).
  • Vendor fee(s).
  • and I am sure, many more items.

Some pics from the museum......I don't know about Jaw Dropping... I would call it a nice museum... but Jaw Dropping is not the term that I would use for Ford cars there...unless you are talking about all the YENKO cars there which are the most Original Yenko cars privately owned in one place. 50% of the museum is GM, about 35% is Ford, and the last 15% are Modern cars and other various brands/marques.. Yes, There are some high dollar cars there, but it seems most of the cars were bought at a Barrett Jackson auction... and there are practically not many cars there that are representative of "Average Cars" that most orsinary people used to drive. You'll just have to see the museum for yourself and decide to see what I am talking about. All the Cobras and Vintage Ford GT's there are all Replicas cars...with the exception of one Green Original Dark Green? 1966 427 Cobra that he had, but it was missing from the museum the last time I was there...very strange.. This is a nice museum, but I've personally been to much better ones I think.....The Don Garlits Drag Racing Museum in Ocala, FL being one of them... The Dezer Museum (Miami), The Sarasota Classic Car Museum, etc...

One thing about this American Musclecar Museum venue is that the entire building is new as well as its location....Parking lots, AC, Shade, Bathrooms. The facility has one most efficient Solar Paneled sites in all of Florida.. There are Huge Solar Panels everywhere you look...and they provide great shade for cars an people as well. I think that the Museum will improve lots as the years go on...but you sure can't beat the venue. There is tons of space for cars at the location, but if they are expecting 900 cars, They will be packed to the brim...I can't see more than 600-700 Cars filling the site... Next door to the venue however is a local Casino (Club 52) with huge Parking lots, Maybe they intend to overflow and use their Parking lots... Who knows.. Whatever the case, It will be a Super fun time... That's for sure. Hoping to have my '65 on the road by then..

Here are a couple pics from inside the museum that I took.. (A Sneak Peak)....So Enjoy..

It was stated they feel they could handle up to appx 900 cars, did not say at this time that they are expecting that many. Looks like there is some land to the east of the main building, and there was a mention of some acreage available.
