New guy, old car

Hi everybody.

New to the forum, but have known the car my whole life. My grandmother bought a 1966 Sprint model new in 66. It is a white coupe with a two tone dark red/bright red interior - something that nobody I've spoken with so far has heard of. To date, this has been the only new car she's ever owned. She initially kept it to give to my mother when she learned to drive. She couldn't handle a manual transmission, but my grandmother decided to hang on the the car anyways. It's been sitting in a climate controlled garage for the past 30+ years. Last September I was able to buy it from her and bring it back home. I haven't had a garage to keep it in until recently. It has very few parts that are on the car now that were not on it at the dealership in 66. It has 80k miles on it and the little 3 spd I6 runs pretty great.

Since then I've rebuilt the shifter, changed all the fluids/wipers/etc, and am in the middle of removing any surface rust (all minor) I can find and spraying it to prevent future rust.

Just thought I would stop by and introduce myself. Unfortunately I don't think I can upload pictures yet.

Welcome to the forum!
One way to post pictures here (and how I prefer) is to sign up at someplace like https://postimages.org/ and upload them there. Then it's pretty easy to link them here, to other forums, your email, eBay, whatever you want.
